From Passion to Profession: Sydney Bremner’s Journey to Ice Blue Sky

In this interview, Sydney shares her path to marketing, the reasons she chose Ice Blue Sky, and her experiences and aspirations within the company. Get an inside look at her first weeks with us, the challenges she’s embraced, and the excitement she feels for her future in this innovative and supportive environment

 

1. What inspired you to pursue a career in marketing, and how did you get started in this field?

My passion for marketing was sparked at a young age when I was tasked with creating a marketing campaign for a local business whilst at school. I was fascinated by the blend of creativity and strategy involved in crafting campaigns that could genuinely connect with people as well as drive tangible results. I then decided to take my passion further when choosing GCSE and A-Level subjects, I found myself captivated by the world of marketing and my search for a career in the field began.

I got my start in the field by interning at a small fashion marketing agency.I was able to gain hands-on experience there, from social media management to market research, this solidified that marketing was the right path for me. Since then, I’ve been committed to continuously learning and evolving in this dynamic industry.

When I first found out about the opportunity that Ice Blue Sky had to offer, I knew this was the right path for me and a company that I could see myself thrive in.

 

2. What attracted you to Ice Blue Sky, and how do you feel the company aligns with your career goals?

What attracted me to Ice Blue Sky is the reputation the company has for innovative and impactful marketing solutions. I admire how the company consistently blends creativity with strategy to deliver outstanding results. I instantly knew this was a company that I wanted to be a part of and make a difference when beginning my career.

After my interviews, I could feel a genuine sense of community and care for both clients and employees at Ice Blue Sky. The positive and supportive culture at Ice Blue Sky was more than evident, it made a huge impression on me from the start. It’s clear to me that the company prioritises strong relationships and a collaborative environment. This aligns with my career goals of working in a place where I can continuously learn, grow, and contribute, whilst being part of a team that values and supports each other.

 

 

3. How would you describe your first two weeks at Ice Blue Sky? What have been some highlights and challenges?

My first two weeks at Ice Blue Sky have been incredibly rewarding! I have already gained so many valuable learning experiences. From day one, I felt welcomed by the team and quickly noticed the strong sense of support within the company. The environment at Ice Blue Sky has made the transition smooth and very enjoyable.

One of the highlights so far has been getting to know my colleagues and the culture at Ice Blue Sky. Everyone has been very generous with their time and understanding of all of my many questions, helping me get up to speed with our processes and clients. Attending team meetings has been particularly exciting, as I’ve had the chance to contribute and see how our creativity and precision drives success.

On the challenging side, there’s been a lot to learn in a short amount of time. This challenge has been a great opportunity for my growth within Ice Blue Sky, and I appreciate the onboarding process that team has in place. The support from my colleagues has been really instrumental in helping me navigate these new challenges.

 

4. What are you most excited about in your new role as a junior account manager?

I am most excited about having the chance to work closely with clients to help them achieve goals, this is something that has always been incredibly motivating for me. I’m looking forward to immersing myself in the learning process of my Multi-channel marketing apprenticeship as well as gaining further insights into account management and learning new skills in communication and strategic planning at Ice Blue Sky.

I’m thrilled to be part of a team where I can contribute to our success whilst learning from my very experienced colleagues. The prospect of working in an environment that values innovation and client satisfaction is truly inspiring. I’m looking forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of Ice Blue Sky.
